ROUTE TO MATLOCK.
There is a new road from Belper to Cromford which avoids the steep
hills, and accompanies the River Derwent in its windings. The Visitors
of Matlock will be highly gratified with the beautiful scenery on
the banks of the River, and the distances of the two roads are nearly
alike.

MATLOCK BATH,
Is 17 miles from Derby. The village one mile beyond, N.E.
The REV. P. GELL, Rector.
The Residence of William Gilbert, Esq. called the Tower, is on the
Heights of Abraham ; the beautiful ground and walks open to Visitors.
Near which is the house of Mr. Joseph Rawlinson, the Painter; where
some beautiful Landscapes from the pencil of Miss Rawlinson, may be
seen.
The New Bath Hotel, Mr. George Saxton's, has excellent accommodations
for Visitors.
Near the Hotel is Boden's Spar Manufactory, wher the Petrifying Well
may be seen.
The Museum of Mr. John Vallance.
The residence of W. D. Dray, Esq. M.D. is also at Matlock Bath.
