  4. William Edward SHORE NIGHTINGALE and his wife Frances had two daughters. The eldest was Frances Parthenope, who became Lady Verney, and Florence, who became famous through her work during the Crimean War.
  5. Mary SHORE, daughter of Mary nee EVANS and William, married Samuel, son of William SMITH of Parndon. Amongst the couple's ten children was a son William, born, 1831, who assumed the name of SHORE NIGHTINGALE, married 1859, Louisa Ellen HUTCHINS (d. of Samuel of Ardnagashel) and died 1894.
